At Fino Hospitality we believe procurement should be done smart and consider the requirements and motivations of all stakeholders on the project. This means sourcing the right product, at the right price and deliver it at the right time.
With over 25 years’ experience in hospitality procurement, the owners of Fino Hospitality have been involved in multi-million US Dollar developments as well as smaller, unique projects in the Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean Islands and Asia. This gives us a unique advantage to understand the requirements of each project no matter the size or location. Our commitment is to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the Designer and Operators standards. Fino Hospitality works with full transparency with the Owner and the rest of the professional team, keeping all parties informed as the project develops.
In addition to procurement we also offer Cost Analysis services to our clients. Fino Hospitality will review our client’s budgets or tenders to ensure that the product rates are market related and suits the product and grading they are intended for. Fino Hospitality will also prepare budgets, either high level or detailed depending on our client’s needs, which can be used to arrange finance, plan cash-flow, etc.
Fino Hospitality will review the concept design and/or design specifications to ensure that products are fit-for-purpose and are compliant with Operator Brand Standards. We will consider the practicality of the products, what benefit to they add to Operations and the Owner and most importantly to the quest. We will also review the construction of items to ensure that they are compatible with hotel standards and continues use.
Our worldwide experience with manufacturers of interior items, enables us to offer cost effective alternatives without compromising on design.

Chi Square or Chi2 is Fino Hospitality’s bespoke software for all our procurement projects. The term Chi Square is a test that measures how expectations compare to actual observed data (or model results). The data used in calculating a chi square statistic must be random, raw, mutually exclusive, drawn from independent variables, and drawn from a large enough sample. In other words, we take the raw data from any procurement project or budget and formulate it into a comprehensive database from which we can pull numerous reports for a full and clear picture on every aspect of the project cycle, from tender analysis to final hand over. Chi2 does not simply generate a purchase order like typical procurement or purchasing software, instead we use the software to generate numerous reports that are used throughout the project by owners, developers, designers, project managers, installation crews, etc. Purchase orders can be custom designed to our client’s needs, including setting up the purchase order document to match our clients’ own stationary. In addition, we have standard formats such as “Fino Hospitality - As Agent Only” purchase order. Click here to see a sample. Even though we have an extensive list of reports, we can custom design the reports to suit our client’s needs. Below are some examples of the reports we have as standard (click on the report name to see a redacted example):
This report shows all the tenders that were received for a specific product grouped by country. This report is useful to compare the various rates from different countries and suppliers immediately. It also shows the detailed specification of a product from each supplier so one can identify why rates between suppliers are sometimes dramatically different.
This report is useful for tracking the originally approved budget (baseline) against the current budget to date so that potential overruns can quickly be identified and rectified. The reports tracks against individual items as well as commodities.
This report lists all the items and quantities for the project without any values. The items are typically sorted by commodity and grouped by the control numbers.
This report lists all the items in a specific room, with their associated costs and totals for each room. This report is very useful when doing a boutique hotel where rooms are not typical. When doing typical rooms, the summary version of this report is typically used.
Sorting the cost per rooms by room types giving one a total cost per room type and cost per room. This report is useful when rooms are typical.
This document tracks the supplier payment applications submitted, payments already made and payments still to be made. It also shows the invoices that still needs to be submitted by the suppliers.
A summary of all the purchase orders placed for the project, grouped by the purchase order currency. This report shows the commodity that is covered by the purchase order, original value and revised values. It also converts the PO currency to the project currency.
